CONSOLE(4) Device Drivers Manual (amiga) CONSOLE(4)

console
amiga console interface

This release supports a “virtual” console device used for kernel printf messages and accessed in user mode via /dev/console. It is virtual in the sense that it is attached to a hardware interface at boot time. Currently the choices are limited to: a bit-mapped display acting as an internal terminal emulator “ITE”, the builtin serial interface amiga/ser(4), or a null(4) console in that order.

/dev/console

tty(4), reboot(8)

The console device is currently under development.

You should be able to specify potential console devices at config(1) time.
