This branch was a major cleanup and rototill of many of the various OEA cpu based PPC ports that focused on sharing as much code as possible between the various ports to eliminate near-identical copies of files in every tree. Additionally there is a new PIC system that unifies the interface to interrupt code for all different OEA ppc arches. The work for this branch was done by a variety of people, too long to list here. TODO: bebox still needs work to complete the transition to -renovation. ofppc still needs a bunch of work, which I will be looking at. ev64260 still needs to be renovated amigappc was not attempted. NOTES: pmppc was removed as an arch, and moved to a evbppc target. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.59.16.1 2007/06/26 18:12:12 garbled Exp $ a26 1 options LKM # loadable kernel modules @ 1.61.20.1 log @sync with head. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.61 2007/10/17 19:53:28 garbled Exp $ d25 3 d87 1 @ 1.61.20.2 log @sync with head @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.61.20.1 2009/05/04 08:10:37 yamt Exp $ d74 1 @ 1.61.20.3 log @sync with head. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.61.20.2 2010/03/11 15:02:03 yamt Exp $ a106 2 options IPFILTER_COMPAT # Compat for IP-Filter #options IPFILTER_DEFAULT_BLOCK # block all packets by default d195 1 a195 1 #pseudo-device fss # file system snapshot device @ 1.61.28.1 log @Sync with HEAD. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.63 2008/11/24 11:41:08 ad Exp $ d27 1 d87 1 @ 1.61.28.2 log @Sync with HEAD. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.61.28.1 2009/01/19 13:15:56 skrll Exp $ d25 2 @ 1.61.16.1 log @Sync with HEAD. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD$ d27 1 d87 1 @ 1.61.26.1 log @Update haad-dm branch to haad-dm-base2. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.63 2008/11/24 11:41:08 ad Exp $ d27 1 d87 1 @ 1.60 log @Add options COMPAT_40. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.59 2006/09/27 21:42:04 manu Exp $ @ 1.60.10.1 log @sync with HEAD @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.61 2007/10/17 19:53:28 garbled Exp $ @ 1.59 log @- Document COMPAT_15 as doing nothing - Add COMPAT_15 to all the kernel that had COMPAT_14, for the sake of coherency - Remove the only occurences of #ifdef COMPAT_15 in the tree: for the ARM ports, COMPAT_15 was always used in conjunction with EXEC_AOUT. Eliminate obsolete global kernel variable "struct timezone tz" Add RTC_OFFSET option Add global kernel variable rtc_offset, which is initialized by RTC_OFFSET at kernel compile time. on i386, x68k, mac68k, pc532 and arm32, RTC_OFFSET indicates how many minutes west (east) of GMT the hardware RTC runs. Defaults to 0. Places where tz variable was used to indicate this in the past have been replaced with rtc_offset. Add sysctl interface to rtc_offset. Kill obsolete DST_* macros in sys/time.h gettimeofday now always returns zeroed timezone if zone is requested. settimeofday now ignores and logs attempts to set non-existant kernel timezone. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.5 1996/11/21 03:23:42 jonathan Exp $ d25 12 d38 1 a38 3 options FFS,QUOTA # fast filesystem with user and group quotas options MFS # memory-based filesystem options NFSCLIENT # Sun NFS-compatible filesystem (client) a39 8 options KERNFS # kernel data-structure filesystem options MSDOSFS # Ability to read write MS-Dos filsystem options CD9660 # ISO 9660 + Rock Ridge file system options FDESC # user file descriptor filesystem #options UMAPFS # uid/gid remapping filesystem #options NULLFS # null layer filesystem #options LFS # Log-based filesystem (still experimental) #options PORTAL # portal filesystem (still experimental) d51 1 a51 1 config bsd root on sd0 swap on sd0 and sd1 @ 1.5 log @* Add /sys-relative paths for NetBSD-1.2b config. * Add standard mips EXEC packages to std.pica * Move non-optional options to std.pica @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.4 1996/08/26 23:40:48 mrg Exp $ a6 4 # Need to set locally options TIMEZONE="8*60" # minutes west of GMT (for) options DST=1 # use daylight savings rules @ 1.5.2.1 log @Snapshot of work-in-progress, committed to private branch. These changes implement machine-independent root device and file system selection. Notable features: - All ports behave in a consistent manner regarding root device selection. - No more "options GENERIC"; all kernels have the ability to boot with RB_ASKNAME to select root device and file system type. - Root file system type can be wildcarded; a machine-independent function will try all possible file systems for the selected root device until one succeeds. - If the root file system fails to mount, the operator will be given the chance to select a new root device and file system type, rather than having the machine simply panic. - nfs_mountroot() no longer panics if any part of the NFS mount process fails; it now returns an error, giving the operator a chance to recover. - New, more consistent, config(8) grammar. The constructs: config netbsd swap generic config netbsd root on nfs have been replaced with: config netbsd root on ? type ? config netbsd root on ? type nfs Additionally, the operator may select or wildcard root file system type in the kernel configuration file: config netbsd root on cd0a type cd9660 config(8) now requires that a "root" specification be made. "root" may be wired down or wildcarded. "swap" and "dump" specifications are optional, and follow previous semantics. - config(8) has a new "file-system" keyword, used to configure file systems into the kernel. Eventually, this will be used to generate the default vfssw[]. - "options NFSCLIENT" is obsolete, and is replaced by "file-system NFS". "options NFSSERVER" still exists, since NFS server support is independent of the NFS file system client. - sys/arch///swapgeneric.c is no longer used, and will be removed; all information is now generated by config(8). As of this commit, all ports except arm32 have been updated to use the new setroot(). Only SPARC, i386, and Alpha ports have been tested at this time. Port masters should test these changes on their ports, and report any problems back to me. More changes are on their way, including RB_ASKNAME support in nfs_mountroot() (to prompt for server address and path) and, potentially, the ability to select rarp/bootparam or bootp in nfs_mountroot(). @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.5 1996/11/21 03:23:42 jonathan Exp $ a28 12 file-system FFS # fast filesystem file-system MFS # memory-based filesystem file-system NFS # Sun NFS-compatible filesystem (client) file-system KERNFS # kernel data-structure filesystem file-system MSDOSFS # Ability to read write MS-Dos filsystem file-system CD9660 # ISO 9660 + Rock Ridge file system file-system FDESC # user file descriptor filesystem #file-system UMAPFS # uid/gid remapping filesystem #file-system NULLFS # null layer filesystem #file-system LFS # Log-based filesystem (still experimental) #file-system PORTAL # portal filesystem (still experimental) d30 3 a32 1 options QUOTA # FFS quotas d34 8 d53 1 a53 1 config netbsd root on sd0 type ffs swap on sd0 and sd1 @ 1.5.2.2 log @Update from trunk. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.6 1997/01/15 01:28:58 perry Exp $ d7 4 @ 1.4 log @add COMPAT_12. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: PICA,v 1.3 1996/07/16 23:24:06 thorpej Exp $ d4 1 a4 1 include "std.pica" a12 3 options SWAPPAGER # swap pager (anonymous and swap space) options VNODEPAGER # vnode pager (mapped files) options DEVPAGER # device pager (mapped devices) a15 2 options COMPAT_11 options COMPAT_12 @ 1.3 log @RCS id police. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # $NetBSD: $ d19 2 @ 1.2 log @Update Pica kernel configuration (files.pica, std.pica) and the default template to use the merged mips code in sys/arch/mips/{conf,mips}. @ text @d1 1 a1 1 # @ 1.1 log @Initial revision @ text @d4 1 a4 1 machine pica @ 1.1.1.1 log @First commit of Per Fogelstrom's port to the Acer pica r4400/isa machine. @ text @@ 1.1.1.2 log @OpenBSD-2.1/arc @ text @a1 1 # Generic configuration file for MIPS R4400 PICA system d3 2 a4 2 machine arc d14 1 d19 1 a19 1 options KTRACE # system call tracing support a29 1 options NATIVE_ELF d43 1 d47 8 a54 8 options INET # Internet protocols #options "TCP_COMPAT_42" # compatibility with 4.2BSD TCP/IP options GATEWAY # IP packet forwarding #options MULTICAST # Multicast support #options MROUTING # Multicast routing support #options ISO # OSI networking #options TPIP #options EON d56 2 a57 2 # Special options #options MACHINE_NONCONTIG # Support noncontigous memory. a58 2 # Specify storage configuration config bsd root on sd0 swap on sd0 and sd1 a59 3 # # Definition of system # a63 1 a80 13 ch* at scsibus? target ? lun ? ss* at scsibus? target ? lun ? uk* at scsibus? target ? lun ? # # ISA Bus. # isabr* at mainbus0 isa* at isabr? com2 at isa? port 0x3f8 irq 4 com3 at isa? port 0x2f8 irq 3 d83 1 d86 1 d89 1 a89 2 pseudo-device loop pseudo-device vnd 4 # virtual disk @ 1.1.1.3 log @OpenBSD-2.6/arc @ text @d10 2 a11 2 option TIMEZONE="8*60" # minutes west of GMT (for) option DST=1 # use daylight savings rules d14 10 a23 10 option SWAPPAGER # swap pager (anonymous and swap space) option DEVPAGER # device pager (mapped devices) option DIAGNOSTIC # extra kernel debugging checks option DEBUG # extra kernel debugging support option "COMPAT_43" # compatibility with 4.3BSD binaries option KTRACE # system call tracing support option "NKMEMCLUSTERS=1024" # 4K pages in kernel malloc pool #option KGDB # support for kernel gdb #option "KGDBRATE=19200" # kernel gdb port rate (default 9600) #option "KGDBDEV=15*256+0" # device for kernel gdb d26 5 a30 5 option SYSVMSG # System V-like message queues option SYSVSEM # System V-like semaphores option SYSVSHM # System V-like memory sharing option SHMMAXPGS=1024 # 1024 pages is the default option NATIVE_ELF d33 12 a44 12 option FIFO # POSIX fifo support (in all filesystems) option FFS,QUOTA # fast filesystem with user and group quotas option MFS # memory-based filesystem option NFSCLIENT # Sun NFS-compatible filesystem (client) option NFSSERVER # Sun NFS-compatible filesystem (server) option KERNFS # kernel data-structure filesystem option MSDOSFS # Ability to read write MS-Dos filsystem option CD9660 # ISO 9660 + Rock Ridge file system option FDESC # user file descriptor filesystem #option UMAPFS # uid/gid remapping filesystem #option NULLFS # null layer filesystem #option PORTAL # portal filesystem (still experimental) d47 11 a57 8 option INET # Internet protocols #option "TCP_COMPAT_42" # compatibility with 4.2BSD TCP/IP option GATEWAY # IP packet forwarding #option MULTICAST # Multicast support #option MROUTING # Multicast routing support #option ISO # OSI networking #option TPIP #option EON @
